This collection is inspired by the 1960‘s futurism movement in which people tried to imagine, design and predict the future after the millenium and a technological revolution. As we are now living in this future it is easy to judge about the 1960‘s imagination of a future world and take it as a naive science fiction and utopian dream that never came true. This style is simply classified as RETRO. But these people in the 1960‘s were very future-oriented and positive about what the world will look like in the future and that things will improve with the help of technology. Is it still possible to dream this big in our days? By the moment something is put out and classified as NEW it is already
old a moment afterwards. Talking about fashion and time it seems to be the same. By the moment a new collection is put on the runway it is new and current, but by the time it is going into stores it is already OLD as it was presented months ago. Furthermore many designs are inspired by history creating a RETROSPECTIVE. with a modern outlook. With this collection elements from the past which were meant to be futuristic, like technology, intereior design, architecure, cinema and lifestyle are mixed with elements from the future in our year 2015 leading into a contemporary fashion statement on futurism in general and retro science fiction leading into a positive
FUTURESPECTIVE.
